Services as from the end of September 2007 are now celebrated in the local Karen Language are held at Saint Thomas' Anglican Church each Sunday at 11.30am. This service is a more traditional Catholic style of service with a worshipping congregation of 100+ worshippers.

The exception is the 2nd Sunday of the month (when they meet at 9.30am). At this service, both Karen and local Saint Thomas' members worship together and there is great excitement as they continue to find ways in which this service can help unite both groups.

Fr Ron Browning has joined the parish as an associate priest with responsibility for the Karen congregation.

The Karen service is not seen as something separate from other parish services. Saint Thomas' parishioners are currently working with the Karen people to see how they can best assist the two cultures in being seen as one and not two separate groups.

It is the intention of Saint Thomas' parishioners to make what ever changes are necessary to have the Karen people see the church as theirs as well.
